OLD DAYS
At the Mid-Autumn night,
“Pray to Grandpa Moon!” you say.
How carefree!
ADULTHOOD
Years after years, we grow.
We learn how to breathe
and how not to breathe—
SOMEWHERE BEYOND
You’re now beholding us
somewhere near the moon.
How are you?
Susanna Ng is a full-time student at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, pursuing a Master’s degree in Global English Literary and Cultural Studies in the Department of English. Early 2024 was a difficult time for Susanna as she lost her beloved mother. Fortunately, her strong faith in the Lord has helped her rebuild her life. Her passion for Japanese culture leads her to compose three haikus expressing how much she misses her mother.
